Enrollment Information For Fall 2025 Start Date:

The deadline for applying to enroll at SAEL as a 9th grader in Fall 2025 is Friday, March 28th, 2025. To apply, please fill out the application below. SAEL staff will follow up to confirm that your application has been received.

Evening Information Sessions:

SAEL is excited to welcome interested parents and students to our campus for an evening information session. SAEL will host prospective families on 1/15, 1/29, 2/19, 3/12, and 3/26 from 5:30pm to 7:00pm at SAEL, located at 505 Main Street in Downtown Nevada City. Each evening will feature an interactive presentation about SAEL's learning model, followed by ample time for questions and answers, as well as a chance to tour the building. All are welcome to attend; each date offers the same opportunity and information. No RSVP is needed - we hope to see you there. 

Application process:

SAEL is a school of choice, and our application process does not include any merit-based restrictions or requirements. The goal of SAEL’s enrollment process is to welcome 60 new 9th-grade students to SAEL in August 2025.  After the application deadline, SAEL staff will collaborate with all students and families who met the deadline to confirm their intent to enroll. As part of this process, staff will verify that students' immunization records meet state requirements using official pre-enrollment paperwork. If SAEL receives more committed and eligible applications than it can accommodate, a waitlist will be created.

Transfer Applications:

Students who are currently in 9th to 12th grade and interested in transferring to SAEL should fill out the application below. A SAEL staff member will follow up to discuss the next steps.
