Service and Therapy Dog

Drover is our service and therapy dog here with us at SAEL. He is an Australian Kelpie. Drover is trained through Advanced Obedience and he holds an AKC: Canine Good Citizen Title. Drover is also certified by Therapy Dog International and is a certified Therapy Dog.

Dover enjoys coming to school nearly every day. He loves greeting all the students every morning and welcoming them to school.  Drover especially likes it when he can help kids individually. He is an expert at reducing stress and anxiety in students that struggle in those areas. He enjoys getting a friendly pet and saying hello to students as they move between classes or during lunch. He has helped several students overcome their anxiety during Student Led Conferences and is one of our best panelists. He is always happy to give a smile and a hug when needed.

Drover lives with Mr. Parkhouse and in his off time enjoys living the life of a ranch dog where he plays with other dogs on the ranch and sleeps on a big pillow next to the fire.
